Ustedes son americanos, ¿verdad? 

You are Americans, aren't you?

Manolo y Pilar son españoles, ¿verdad?

Manolo and Pilar are Spanish, aren't they?

El señor Serrano es español, ¿verdad?

 Mr. Serrano is Spanish, isn't he?

Carmen es española, Carmen ¿verdad?

is Spanish, isn't she?

La señora Hudson es americana, ¿verdad?

Mrs. Hudson is American,isn't she?

Usted es española, ¿verdad?

You are Spanish (feminine) aren't you?

Su senora es española, ¿verdad?

His/your wife is Spanish,isn't she?

Los señores Serrano son españoles, ¿verdad?

Mr. and Mrs. Serrano are Spanish, aren't they?

Los Hudson son americanos, ¿verdad?

The Hudsons are Americans, aren't they?


NOTE: Notice that Los señores Serrano is equivalent to "Mr. and Mrs. Serrano," and Los Serrano is equivalent to "the Serranos."

 

Usted es española = you (singular) are Spanish

La señora Hudson es americana = Mrs. Hudson is American

Ustedes son americanos = you (plural) are Spanish

Manolo y Pilar son españoles = Manolo and Pilar are spanish
